These photos were papped when I saw humpbacks hang out in the calm waters off the East Coast of Australia. Seeing Mumma and baby whales jump for joy, wave to you from afar, and then swim up to the boat you’re on, was one of the most humbling and happy experiences of my life. I felt like I’d swallowed ten ecstasy pills. (Side note, I hadn’t). My point is – this experience means more to me than any shiny accolade ever could because to me it’s the ‘living’ that fuels ‘good ideas’.

In the seven years I’ve worked in this crazy career, I’ve worked hard at developing my skillsets, whether that’s developing a brand campaign, crafting engaging cross-channel copy, or helping evolve a brand’s TOV. I’m a big proponent for simple thinking and believe great creative propels a brand from bland to brand new again.

What inspires me outside of my day job, is what makes me good at my day job. That’s getting outside (give me a sea to swim in any day), going to the cinema (check out @thefilmspiel) and hypoanalysing Taylor Swift’s literary prowess.
